Wedding receptions and ceremonies, birthday parties, christenings- we do it all!
Whether you’re having an intimate wedding with close family, or a large birthday party with everyone invited, we can cater to parties of all sizes. From the big things (tables & chairs and parking) to the small details (tablecloths and microphones) you don’t need to worry – we’ve got it covered.
You have exclusive use of our rooms to decorate as you wish and we can advise on local suppliers to help make your event look picture perfect!
Our kitchen is available for food preparation and hirers are welcome to invite caterers in or prepare food themselves. Our licenced bar is also available at no extra costs, with a good selection of draughts and bottled beers, wines, prosecco, ciders, spirits and soft drinks. Drinks packages are also available.
Commercial events
Whether you’re holding a live music event, boxing match or stage show, our venue is sure to be a perfect fit. With a recently upgraded large dance floor, stage with state of the art sound and lighting systems, stocked and staffed bar, and fully equipped kitchen, everything you could need is on hand.
Our Main Hall is a huge space and with a capacity of 300 people (theatre style), the possibilities are endless! Our team will set the room to your specification and be on hand throughout your event, and we provide security staff to keep your event exclusive. We can also help with large team meetings and training events for your staff.

Community events
Bowls, dance and fitness classes, Mum & Baby groups… The Civic has been at the heart of the local community since 1971, hosting a wide range of events throughout the year.
Our Main Hall is the perfect space for larger gatherings when you need to spread out! Plus you will have use of our fully sprung dance floor, sound/lighting system and access to our kitchen facilities, should you need them.

Room Hire Fees
We offer several options for hire, ranging from all day to evening only. Our prices include hire of the whole venue, which includes our expansive Main Hall with stage, sound and lighting systems, plus plenty of space for dancing.
If you wish to party until the wee small hours, we offer an hour bar extension for £80 on Friday and Saturday nights.
